The Battle is for Your Heart

I thought that my circumstances were to blame for the fact that I did not want to get out of bed in the morning. I didn't realise that there was a REASON why my heart was feeling so heavy. There was someone who had a vested interest in keeping me from discovering the power of my heart.

John 10:10 says we have an enemy that comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I didn't realise that he can only do that when I surrender the power of my heart to him. We surrender our power to him when we come into agreement with his lies.

I believed that my struggle was hopeless.

I believed that God was disappointed in me.

I believed that I would always fight this battle with depression.

I was fighting the wrong battle. Wrestling with the wrong enemy. Whilst I was tangled up in his lies, the enemy could sit back and watch me destroy myself.

But one day, I walked into a cinema and encountered my Heavenly Father, who lovingly showed me the truth. I was His beloved daughter. I had the power to align my heart with what He said about me and see His life more abundantly (also John 10:10).

I believe to see God's goodness in every situation of my life.

I believe that I am accepted in the Beloved.

I believe that the joy of the Lord is my strength.

Getting untangled has been a process, but knowing how much I am loved by my almighty, loving Father, has restored my authority of a beloved daughter of the King.

Gone are the days that I am allowing the enemy to steal my identity, my inheritance and my purpose.

Friend, there is a reason WHY you are feeling so low.

There is a battle for your heart.

Who will you align your powerful heart with?
