Are you all prayed out?

I know what it feels like to exhaust yourself trying to get God's attention. I was at the point of giving up on Him, because I just didn't feel like He cared about me, or understood what I was going through.

When I encountered God (The Father)*, I realised that He was deeply moved by the struggle I was experiencing. He cared more than I could possibly understand. It has changed the way I pray about everything.

There is this passage about the persistent widow (Luke 18) that I used to read and think I had to beg God to answer my prayers. If I bothered Him long enough, He would relent and help me. I couldn't have been more wrong!

Jesus explains this parable and says that the Father is NOT like the judge in this passage. He answers us quickly! He does not judge us like an unjust judge. In fact, Proverbs 9:4 says that He always judges in our favour!

Our prayers are empowered by knowing the Father's heart for us. When we realise our position in Him as beloved children, it removes all fear. It opens our ears to hear the answers we so desperately need and receive His gentle instruction, which gives us the authority to move boldly.
