Are You Trusting God?

I am sure we can all relate to that father who was desperate for his son to be healed from seizures (read Mark 9). Jesus said that all things were possible for those who believed. I could feel the desperation of that father when he cried out: "I want to believe, help my unbelief!" How do we know that we are truly trusting God?

Whilst working on a Change Management course for a Leadership Development Programme, the Holy Spirit showed me that I was missing a crucial element in my relationship with the Father. You see, there are two things required to form trust in your leader: Competence and Care.

Competence says that the leader is capable of doing what they promised. Care says that they are willing to do it for you, because they have your best interest at heart. I believed that God was able, but I wasn't convinced that He was WILLING to do it for me.

Ephesians 3:20 says that God is able to do MORE than we can dare to hope for, dream or imagine. It continues to explain that God is able... according to His power that is at work in us. When we read the preceding verses to Ephesians 3:20, we discover that the power comes from being deeply rooted in the love of God. And being continually filled with that love. In this episode of A Light for Your Path podcast, I am praying for you to experience God's love, just as Paul prayed for the Church of Ephesus in Ephesians 3.

God is ready to do more than you can hope for dream or imagine. Are you ready to trust Him?
